Microblading procedure: A few facts that you might not be aware of!

Given that your eyebrows have a crucial role to play in enhancing your facial features; it is worth every penny to make them appear flawless. Microblading procedure is just what you need if your brows are thin or if you have sparse areas. What you will have after this procedure are fuller-looking brows that will appear completely natural. The process is similar to getting a tattoo in which a pigment is deposited between the Epidermis to dermis layer of the skin to give you hair-like strokes. The results of microblading procedure can last anywhere between 6 months to 2 years. A follow-up session is needed between 4-6 weeks.  But this is not all that there is to know about this procedure. Here are a few important details about Microblading that you might have been unaware of.

You cannot simply undergo the treatment as and when you like. There is a whole bunch of things that you will have to do before booking your appointment. You will have to stop the consumption of alcohol at least 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. This is because alcohol consumption will makes your blood thin. Simply putting it, you must refrain from consuming any of the medicines and other things than can your blood to thin which becomes a major cause of patchy brows. You must also avoid the intake of caffeine as it can cause excess bleeding. Apart from this, you must limit your exposure to the sun, no swimming, pools, sauna, excessive sweating till the eyebrows scabbing has fallen off.

You will need to follow the aftercare treatment. Yes, you will have flawless-looking brows at the end of your microblading procedure but before you get to that point you must understand that Microblading is a process that everyone must be ready to endure. You will have to practice precaution to make sure that you take good care of them and must follow the aftercare given to you by your Microblading artist. First and foremost thing that you will have to ensure is to not let your brows get wet for at least a week after the procedure or till your eyebrows scab and peel off. Everyone’s time frame is different. This also means that you should not indulge in any activities that will cause you to sweat excessively. The aftercare your Microblading artist gives you after your session is crucial and will help ensure very good end results. It is important to follow them.

It is crucial to find the right pigment shade. Similar to foundation, there is a specific pigment that will be just right for your brows. The Microblading artist will give you their best opinion as far as pigment is concerned. After the scabs have fallen off the strokes will appear as if they are faded but will reappear over a span of 2 days to 30 days due to the regeneration of the skin. Choosing a dark enough pigment is key due to the skins regeneration. When the strokes fall off you will lose the initial pigment by 30%-40%. At first the eyebrows will be very bold, second day being the worst. Clients eyes need to adjust to the new brows and will have to keep in mind that it’s a process.  Eventually the strokes will become a lot softer in the end. Most clients come back for the initial touch up but some do not and have perfect looking brows after one session even though Microblading is a two-step process. The touch up session is to there to perfect strokes that are missing and the ones that did not retain pigment. It’s also an important time to correct shape by adding in extra strokes, basically a good time to perfect and make the brows more symmetrical
